While this Asian species is known to have invaded many bodies of water in Europe (See <a href="www.aquaticinvasions.net/2007/AI_2007_2_3_Popa_etal.pdf">1</a>, <a href="ias.biodiversity.be/meetings/200905_science_facing.../poster_21.pdf">2</a>, <a href="graellsia.revistas.csic.es/index.php/graellsia/article/download/137/136">3</a>), this appears to be the first record for this species in the USA.
