The Phragmites (Phragmites australis) along the bike path that leads through the Neponset River Watershed in Dorchester was looking particularly hearty last week.

This is one of the worst aspects of the "greenways"/bike path craze -- spreading non-native species, not to mention facilitating movement of native invasives like deer, as well as feral cats.
