Euonymus gone astray - this is a photo collage of an introduced Euonymus
, naturalized in Canton, Massachusetts. I was lucky enough to get a tour of the site a couple of weeks ago.
The jury is not yet in on whether this is E. planipes
or E. sachalinensis
. The fruits were odd in that the number of locules (chambers) they contained varied, even on the same plant, between four and five.
