This week the ISW finds itself at 10,000 Birds, where you can go to read about the Eurasian collared-dove...in the Bahamas. That's some impressive range expansion. *coo*
A pair of Eurasian collared-doves (Streptopelia decaocto) have taken up residence on Virginia's Eastern Shore. This Christmas Bird Count was the third or fourth consecutive year in which they were sighted and confirmed. And the spread continues...
And yet, somehow, I haven't been too worried about this successful species.
