MSNBC recently posted an interesting article about how scientists are using the spread of computer worms to model how aquatic invasive species will spread. The study, which was just published in the Journal of Applied Ecology, focused on predicting spread the of the spiny water flea (Bythotrephes longimanus) throughout bodies of water in the Ontario region.
