Very nice website and in my limited experience, one of the most purposeful. Will probably visit again and recommend it to several others.

Great site. My family is super into eradicating invasive species, thanks for the resource.

I don't get why we are against invasive species. Isn't it just natures way and can we really stop it? Don't get me wrong, I hate the gypsy moths that are invading my North West Indiana area but I also hate black birds because they attack hawks and owls. The invasive zebra muscles have helped to clean our waterways. Can you really be mad at nature for doing what it does?

Not mad at nature, but sometimes peeved at humans for introducing such things, either accidentally or intentionally. What exactly is nature's way? Humans alter nature all the time (building houses, planting gardens, driving cars, farming fish...), so why should we leave invasive species alone?

And a note to everyone: Thank you for visiting the ISW, regardles of your feelings about "invasive" species. There has been a ton of traffic here over the past few days, and nothing but cordial and respectful emails and comments. You guys rock! :-)

Here in Olympia, WA the effects of invasive plants, insects, and animals are threatening natives and the environment. Local people work hard to attack scotch broom, English Ivy and others. It helps to know that there are other Grassroot activists working to erradicate invasive species elsewhere.
